About

Dr. Lewis maintains an active interest in applications of  physical  geography to natural resource management and the interface between the natural environment and human societies. He has published articles,  reviews, and reports in numerous professional journals including Geographical Review, Journal of Geography, Geographical Perspectives and Southeastern Geographer plus publishing lab manuals on landform dynamics and physical geography. Dr. Lewis has worked with the Audubon Society and the City of Greensboro on a $100,000 project funded by the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources, developing methods of restoring natural conditions to channelize urban stream corridors.
